I have a child in placement, can I transfer?
If you have a child currently placed with you, the transfer process will be handled with extra care to prioritise their wellbeing.
Once you’re ready to proceed, simply inform your current agency or local authority. They’ll arrange a meeting to discuss next steps — and we’ll support you every step of the way to ensure a smooth, thoughtful transition.
How long does the transfer take?
Transferring fostering agencies usually takes around 3 to 6 months, depending on your personal situation. As part of the process, your current agency is required to share key information, including access to your existing records.

Do I need to complete another Form F?
Yes. When transferring to Rising Stars Fostering , a new Form F assessment is required. This ensures we have a full, up-to-date understanding of your skills, experience, and current circumstances.
However, because you're already an approved foster carer, the process will feel quicker and more focused. We’ll use your previous experience and current Form F to build a strong, refreshed profile, and our team will support you every step of the way.
